WINS for the two favourites in Group H produced more good results for the punters, Ladbrokes said last night (Friday).
Spain defeated Saudi Arabia 1-0 and a goal from Shevchenko produced a similar scoreline for the Ukraine against Tunisia.
But the new Chelsea star's quote of 33/1 to finish top tournament goalscorer remains, with his team still 80/1 to snatch the trophy.
Ladbrokes spokesman Robin Hutchison said: "He might have two goals to his name - but he'll be house-hunting in London on Tuesday morning if they play like that again.
"We took a stack of money on Spain despite trying to price them out of it at 1/6 including dozens of four and five figure bets. We're very much looking forward to saying goodbye and good riddance to the groups stages."
Ladbrokes estimate that the industry will have payed out up to £50,000 on Spain winning Group H.
